Love Overpowers Taste (England X Reader)

"Hello, Arthur! Oh what's this?" You asked; he had been holding a clear food container full of what looked like black lumps. You were a rather new country of (Country Name) but everyone and I mean EVERYONE warned you of England's less than stellar cooking abilities. (Bluntly: they told you that never to try his food unless you want to be in the hospital.)

The light haired man gave a smile and handed you the package (HAHA HAVE FUN WITH THAT), "It's for you, love! I realized I have not gave you some of my excellent homemade scones. Here, try one!" He took out a scone or what was supposed to be a scone and handed it to you; it was burned black, and was heavy as a rock. You gulped and looked up at your grinning bright green-eyed friends before looking at a week of having a flu.

I looked at her as she contemplated whether or not to eat the food. Hmph, that bloody git America must have told her that my food was horrible. I hope she hasn't gotten a bad impression of me from these wankers! (Name) is a good girl among all these idiots, her hair that always shines and looks soft to the touch, her eyes are the most beautiful color of (e/c), also she knows when to act like a lady and when to be crazy and fun. 

She shakily brought the scone to her mouth and took a small bite, oh my, does she look so cute!

After swallowing you looked surprised, "It doesn't taste bad! And I'm not sick? How? They told me America had to go to the hospital for eating one!" Realizing you had just said your thoughts out loud, you blushed crimson; hoping that you didn't offend the short-tempered Brit. 

"It tastes... okay? You... like them?! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR TASTE BUDS, DUDE?" America yelled from the bushes. Many of the countries knew Arthur was going to ask you to taste his cooking, they shivered as they remember when he asked them.

"BLOODY HELL, THEY AREN'T THAT BAD. YOU WANKERS, I'LL-HUMPH?" realizing that he was going to chase after them, you did the first thing that came to mind to get his attention back: kiss him. You pulled away quickly, you honestly didn't mean to do it; your body acted on its own when the thought was created.

You gave a nervous smile at the red-faced England before BOLTING. Hey, he can be pretty scary, who can blame you?

"CHASE AFTER HER, IDIOT!" Your best-friend, Hungary shouted from her hiding place in a tree. After hearing those words, Arthur did just that. 'Does that mean she likes me back? (name) where are you?' he thought desperately as he searched everywhere before finally coming to the library. Where you really became friends since when you were introduced at the meeting, it was too crowded to get to you. 

You had your head down, a few tears ran down your face; you thought you screwed up your new friendship with England. Suddenly a hand softly pushed you head back and you met a soft pair of lips. You tasted tea and scones, and recognized them as your bushy eyed crush's. 

England pulled away with a gentle smile that you saw only when he was with you, "I love you. Even though we know each other barely a month, we talk so much and know so much about each other, I could have know you for centuries!"

You gave a grin, the tears that were now flowing down your cheeks were of joy, "I love you too, Arthur!" You tackled him to the floor in a hug, both of you laughing and had smiles that made your faces hurt.

"So want more scones?" "...Maybe I should help you with your cooking." "HEY!" "Love you!~"
